Trump endorses Barr in Kentucky GOP Senate primary for McConnell’s seat

The leading GOP candidate in the primary race to replace retiring Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has now received the presidential stamp of approval.

Rep. Andy Barr (R-Ky.) entered the race to fill the outgoing senator’s seat last April.

President Trump lauded Barr as an “100% solid American Patriot” in a lengthy Truth Social post on Friday evening endorsing the Kentucky lawmaker’s campaign.

“Andy is the only Candidate who will easily defeat the Democrat in what will be one of the most important Elections in American History,” Trump wrote in the post.

“He will help ensure Victory against these Radical Left, Country Destroying, THUGS,” the president continued. “Andy Barr has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next United States Senator from Kentucky – HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”
