The Pac-12 has clawed back from the brink of extinction to the verge of full resurrection.

Through Wednesday, only two schools were left in the former Power Five conference: Washington State and Oregon State. Those programs became the last ones standing entering this season following a mass exodus of schools heading for greener pastures in the ACC (California, Stanford), Big Ten (Oregon, UCLA, USC, Washington), and Big 12 (Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Utah). But the Pac-2 is now a Six-Pac thanks to the additions of Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State and San Diego State, which the Pac-12 confirmed Thursday.
