A long-lost message from a Bay Area family that’s been drifting across the ocean for eight years has finally resurfaced, dumbfounding a small, unsuspecting group of Australian hikers who were lucky enough to find it intact.

According to a Sept. 20 video posted on Facebook by Townsville Hike and Explore, an outdoor adventure group, members were picking up trash during a cleanup in Chunda Bay on the northeast coast of Australia when one of them spotted a mysterious-looking bottle among the debris. After finally prying it open, they were able to unfurl a battered note........
