Resolve to get fit in the new year

With the new year on the horizon, many of us resolve to become fitter and healthier.

Sometimes it’s hard the first few weeks after the holidays to get into a new routine, but once it becomes part of a daily habit, it’s easier to follow. Many enjoy the social connections that come from being in a fitness class, which nurture both the mind and body. Trying a new exercise class with others can be just what you need in the winter months to boost your energy, improve sleep and have some fun.

To help you achieve your fitness goals, there is a range of programming available in facilities operated by the city’s recreation division, including the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre, 775 Brealey Dr., the Miskin Law Community Complex, 271 Lansdowne St. W., the McDonnel Street Community Centre, 577 McDonnel St. and the Healthy Planet Arena, 911 Monaghan Rd. (formerly the Evinrude Centre.)
