Registration open for 24th annual Hike for Hospice

Registration is now open for Hike for Hospice, a community memorial walk and Hospice Peterborough’s biggest fundraiser.

The walk, now in its 24th year, takes place Sunday, Sept. 27 at Millennium Park. Funds raised help Hospice Peterborough offer more than 26 free programs and services to support those facing life-threatening illness and those grieving.

“Hike for Hospice really is a terrific event with such a great cause,” said Tom LaBranche, Hike for Hospice Committee Co-Chair. “Having been a volunteer in the residence for four years, I see firsthand the incredible support, care and services Hospice Peterborough is able to offer the community.”

“Hospice is a pretty special place and I’m excited to see how the community rallies together,” said Brooke Dickey, the other Hike for Hospice Committee Co-Chair.

The event will include a short opening ceremony, light refreshments, and a sweet treat at the conclusion of the event.
