Infantino is under pressure after his plan to sell off the World Cup was leaked to the media. Last week, Mark Carney joined U.K. prime minister Andy Burnham in saying they had lost confidence in the FIFA president, after he committed what Carney called a “fatal” governance failure by not consulting the FIFA board or its six continental governing bodies.
