Why the CEO of $2.5 Billion Smart Ring Startup Oura Says Apple Won't Make Its Own Version

There have been rumors that Apple is working on a smart ring, with research firm CCS Insight predicting an Apple Ring by 2026.

But Tom Hale, the CEO of Oura, the market leader in smart rings with a valuation of $2.5 billion, says an Apple Ring isn't likely to arrive—at all—because it may cut into sales of the Apple Watch.

"I think they [Apple] are unconvinced about the value of having a ring and a watch together and they're not interested in undercutting the Apple Watch as a business," Hale told CNBC in an interview on........
