Norfolk Constabulary has urged drivers to be more cautious on the roads around the county, with more motorcyclists out and about as the weather warms up.

Last Saturday, a motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was killed after a collision at 2.26pm on the A1062 Horning Road, at the junction with Littlewood Lane.

Officers are appealing for witnesses for the collision between the orange KTM Super Duke motorcycle and a silver Ford Focus were involved in the crash.

The female driver of the car, also in her 50s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

In the same week, tributes were put out for Joshua McAloon, 43, who died after a collision which happened at 3pm on March 22 in Greenway Lane, at the junction with Holt Road in Fakenham.

He was left in hospital with serious injuries from the crash between a white Honda CBR motorbike and a grey Nissan Qashqai, where he later died.

Paying tribute, Mr McAloon's father said: "You were my greatest gift, my son, and my heart is broken without you."

Also on Saturday, a man in his 20s was taken to hospital after his motorcycle collided with a deer on the A146 between Hales and Stockton.

The road was closed for around three hours while emergency services attended and officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or captured relevant dashcam footage.

Norfolk Constabulary has warned drivers to look twice, give motorcyclists space, be patient on rural roads and check before changing lanes or turning.

A spokesman for the force said: "Safer roads depend on everyone doing their part.

"All road users have a responsibility to look out for each other."
