The accident, involving three vehicles, happened on the A134 near the Mundford Road roundabout, where it meets the A11 near Thetford.

It happened at about 12.30pm today and led police to close the road while they dealt with the aftermath.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "Two patients were transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further assessment and care."
