Doctor who died after falling at hospital was widowed 11 days earlier, court told
John Morley, a retired GP, had been admitted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn on September 8 last year.
He had been found inside his flat by staff at Eastland Grange assisted living complex in Hunstanton after falling there.
The 87-year-old was taken to the hospital via an ambulance and was diagnosed as having a broken rib.

A statement read out to Norfolk Coroner’s Court heard that Dr Morley would have been able to return home the same day had he not had low blood pressure, which meant he was kept in for observation.
It was that night he had another fall while walking from the toilet to his ward cubicle at around 1am on September 9.
The court heard how he had been “very upset and more confused than normal” following the “devastating death” of his wife, Joan, who had died the previous week.
A report from the hospital also stated that he had been “unsettled” overnight.........
