PAPER TRAILS: Doctors at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences play softball in New York City
DOCTORS PLAY BALL The neurosurgeons at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock have some serious skills on the softball field.
Earlier this month, a team of UAMS doctors won two out of three games at the Columbia University NeuroCharity Softball Fundraiser tournament in New York's Central Park. After losing 2-1 to Tennessee, the team rallied to shut out New York University, 6-0 and the University of California-San Diego, 10-0.
"We scored 17 runs and only gave up two," said Dr. Hector Soriano Baron, 45, a UAMS neurosurgeon and the team's coach.
