My goal is to bridge the gap between the farm and the table, helping readers understand the hard work and dedication that goes into producing the food we often take for granted. Through this column, I aim to highlight farmers’ crucial role in our lives, especially for those who may not fully grasp where their food comes from.

While there is always room for improvement, food producers in Manitoba and Western Canada are committed to producing the healthiest foods possible. They continuously adopt improved farming practices to care for the soil and environment. When raising animals for food, they utilize the latest methods to ensure the welfare of both animals and the farm workers who care for them. Additionally, economic sustainability and farm-related profits are crucial for these efforts to continue, ensuring that farming remains viable for future generations.
