Beer Con is under way at St Mary's Works in Norwich for the first time.

The venue will be stocked full of drinks from all around the UK and Europe until April 4, with representatives from each brewery on hand to answer any questions about their brews.

"We are so pleased with the response," Beer Con organiser and owner of The Brewery Tap, Mark White, said.

"We've been working with all of these breweries for a long time and this is a showcase of what we believe is the best beer in the UK.

"We have sold out of all our sessions other than Saturday night, which is amazing, but there is still the opportunity for people to get tickets if they want to come down."

The former factory has been transformed into a fully immersive experience, complete with a bank, where people can change their money for 'beer coin' currency to use at each stand, a strip of different breweries and a stage for the bands and DJs.

The event celebrates the industry from across different eras, with Old Man Joe's classic 1970s pub at the venue's heart next to a cask bar celebrating some of the most exciting releases from more recent years.

"Upstairs is a bit more of an escape from the hustle and bustle," explained Laura Hedley-White, co-organiser and wife to Mark.

"Workshops will run up here, where you can meet the people who own breweries, brew booze, design cans and can answer all of your burning questions.

"Art from Joni Smith lines the walls - it is a bit of a gallery space up here too."

Chocolate eggs are dotted around the venue as a nod to the Easter weekend.

Tickets are available to buy on the Beer Con website.
