A gigantic 180-foot asteroid is speeding toward Earth today, August 15 and it will come as close as 4,200,000 miles. Is there a reason to worry? NASA has revealed all the details. This is Asteroid 2021 GY1 and it is travelling at 6.32 km per second, which is 22740 kmph. The asteroid belongs to the Apollo group and has been dubbed as a near-Earth object (NEO) by the Small-Body Database Lookup.
