The Norfolk force has confirmed it is aware of the unauthorised encampment and is engaging with those on site.

It is understood that the group of about 20 caravans set up camp on Monday after leaving a park in Sprowston.

Tim Day, Norwich City Councillor for Crome ward, said: "I heard about the travellers moving onto Mousehold Heath around lunchtime yesterday.
