DENIM SPIRIT: Writing among the tall pines
I am cold. I can’t type with gloves on, so I have them laying flat underneath my palms on the laptop because its metal surface feels freezing. Of course, that doesn’t help my fingers, which are pale and stiff from sitting outside on this 40 degree morning. Forty degrees doesn’t sound all that cold unless you are living outside and the only feeling of warmth hides within that bundle of nighttime protection.
My immediate question, though, is do computers get smoke inhalation? My feet are about six inches from a campfire that is billowing smoke in my face from wet wood; surely, it is infiltrating my computer. The warmth of my toes is worth it, though.
You may have guessed I am camping, and though this may so far sound like whining, it is mostly for effect.
Truly, it is blissful here underneath the canopy of five-story-tall red,........
