I had the good fortune of two grandsons visiting over Memorial Day weekend. They are 3 and 5 and love to come to Geneva. They live in a big city and have lots of activities and opportunities at their fingertips, but little Geneva is wondrous and amazing for them.

One morning I took the 5-year-old fishing down at the canal and helped him keep his focus on the bobber, with strategic infusions of Swedish Fish and Gummy Worms. Another of his adventures was to ride his little bike next to his dad’s and mine, all the way down to the splash pad at the State Park. As if that wasn’t cool enough, he was able to climb, hang, jump, and swing on the state-of-the-art playground next door to the splash pad before getting soaking wet on a hot sunny day. Then he rode back passing two more great playgrounds along the way.

Another day they both went........
