Why marvel fundraiser Malcolm, 92 is feeling top of the world

These are the words of 92-year-old Malcolm Metcalf after finding out he was recognised in the King's New Year Honours list.

Mr Metcalf, from Gorleston, has been awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) for his fundraising for charities.

He received the letter towards the end of November but was sworn to secrecy until it was officially announced.

He said: "I have had a lot of surprises in my life but this is the biggest one.
