The couple and their children have been staying at the Sandringham Estate since the future Queen's health announcement on March 22.

They were spotted leaving their home in Windsor by helicopter shortly before the Easter holidays so Kate could recover in private at Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

The 42-year-old was originally due to return to royal duties after the Easter holidays but following her cancer diagnosis and ongoing treatment, the timeframe now remains uncertain.

It is believed Kate's mother, Carole Middleton, is currently staying with the family and according to the Daily Mail's Diary editor, Richard Eden, William was seen at a nearby pub with Carole over the weekend.

The visit was said to be "low-key" by a member of the public, saying: "He just walked in and through the pub."

Royal medical teams discovered Kate had cancer after she underwent abdominal surgery in January and she has since been undergoing "preventative" chemotherapy.
