Opinion: Let's debunk Elon Musk's AZ election conspiracy
Elon Musk may be stumping for Trump in Pennsylvania, but he’s still throwing in with the Arizona election conspiracy crowd.
Musk, during a town hall in Pennsylvania on Thursday, once again showcased his utter ignorance about how elections work in Arizona.
This time, by spreading long-debunked lies about Dominion Voting Systems.
“It is weird that, I think, they’re used in Philadelphia and in Maricopa County, but not a lot of other places,” Musk told the crowd. “Doesn’t that seem like a heck of a coincidence?”
Cue the nodding red hats.
Cue, too, the response from Dominion Voting Systems, which says it does not serve Philadelphia County.
And from Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer: “Sigh.”
Richer has repeatedly invited Musk to come to Maricopa County to learn about our elections work, to no avail.
Musk is one of those people who believes Arizona’s elections are stolen … because, well, they just are.
Most of the time, you can (and should) ignore such people, as facts won’t change their minds about what they know … because, well, they just do.
But Musk is a billionaire with a mega microphone, and he excels in using it to undermine elections in Arizona.
Like that those times he’s insinuated to his 200 million followers that........
