A Cochise County sucker — er, I mean, supervisor — pleaded guilty on Monday to criminal activity related to her tumble down the stolen election rabbit hole.

Peggy Judd pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of refusal to perform the duty of an election officer.

Her plea deal allows her to avoid a felony conviction and jail, though she’ll still have a criminal record. And she’ll have to pay a fine on top of thousands of dollars in legal fees.

Her conviction should send a strong message to the conspiracy crowd: Carry that MAGA torch and you just might get burned.

Judd and fellow Republican supervisor Tom Crosby made national news when they refused to certify the 2022 election, as state law required.
