Donald Trump made news last year on Veterans Day when, instead of issuing a simple message of honor and gratitude to those who have served in the military, he chose to lash out against his perceived enemies using language reminiscent of Adolf Hitler.

Here’s hoping he doesn’t do that this year.

Or ever again.

Among other things, Trump said, “We pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country that lie and steal and cheat on elections. They’ll do anything, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America and to destroy the American Dream.”
