It’s astounding that Democrats are incapable of beating Donald J. Trump. Is he the GOP’s Barack Obama? He was the Republicans’ political kryptonite, cruising to reelection in back-to-back national elections. Trump had the misfortune of COVID wrecking his booming economy, but we know he likely would’ve wiped the floor with Joe Biden if the world hadn’t lost its mind during the pandemic. Regardless, the Democrats had other issues to energize their base and chose the one no one cared about.

It’s a sign that Democrats have become too insular and so entrapped by their bubble that it has warped their sense of reality. The numbers don’t lie—no one cares about January 6.........
