During his visit to Washington, Starmer plans to advocate for continued American military support to Ukraine amid its ongoing conflict with Russia. This diplomatic effort follows Trump’s earlier campaign promises to prioritize a swift resolution to the war.

Downing Street has hinted that Starmer’s visit will occur shortly after Trump’s inauguration on January 20.
