Critics slam plans to bulldoze pub for housing

Anglian Water and Council highways have objected to plans to demolish the Angel Gardens in Angel Road, near Waterloo Park, to allow nine three-bedroom homes to be built.

County highway officials said the site has potential for cars to access the site from Sun Lane, to the rear of the development.

However, they said the car park layout for the development "might not be feasible as shown at present, as adequate visibility to Sun Lane has not been demonstrated yet."
