Tyler Royal - who has 21 convictions for 33 previous offences - had been in an on-off relationship with the woman for 12 years but were separated at the time of the attack.

Norwich Crown Court heard he had followed his victim as she walked up Duke Street, Norwich, and was "giving her ultimatums" about where she could go and who she could see.
