Dangling Jews: Move Over Participles

“Identified as a Jew, the train made no distinctions.” The train didn’t identify as Jewish. You did.

The above is a much-needed example of a dangling participle — a grammar error where the subject falls out of the sentence and what’s left just hangs there, unattached. An afterthought. A secondary consideration.

Please excuse the train reference, but I’m furious.

Waking up to Trump gloating about some half-assed, cockamamie deal he’s made with the IRGC — the evilest of galactic empires — was a horrible way to start the week.

I have many friends who are Persian here in Los Angeles, good people, people who love Iran and mourn what it’s been turned into, and they are horrified by this news. After all the bluster, lives lost, resources squandered, and general hullabaloo, let’s face it — not much has changed. The vile Iranian Revolutionary Guard continues to play the world like a game of Risk. As long as the mullahs are in power, the people of Iran are going to be miserable, and they, like Americans, deserve freedom.

Instead, Trump is headed to........
