A Google employee has been charged with one of biggest fraud by US authorities
The U.S. Justice Department has charged a Google software engineer, Michele Spagnuolo, with using insider information to rig bets tied to Google's most-searched list on prediction market Polymarket, earning $1.2 million in profits.
According to the complaint, filed in the federal court in Manhattan on wednesday, a 36-year-old Google employee and Italian citizen residing in Switzerland is accused of using confidential information to wager on the results of Google’s annual most-searched list.
