Britannia Pier, on Marine Parade in Great Yarmouth, has applied for planning permission to build an external raised decking area and change the use of land north of Pier Tavern to use as a new beer garden.

It is the latest stage in the massive transformation taking place on the pier that has already seen its owners open a new indoor entertainment centre and sports bar.

The proposed decking would extend straight from the Pier Tavern and run alongside most of the width of the bar.
