Median solvency ratio for Ontario DB plans climbs to record 127% in Q2 2026: FSRA
The median solvency ratio for Ontario-based defined benefit pension plans increased five per cent to a record high of 127 per cent between March 31 and June 30, 2026, according to a new report by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario.
It noted the increase was achieved despite headwinds such as persistent inflation pressures as well as economic volatility and geopolitical uncertainty causing a shift in trade patterns.
