US says it launched 11th straight night of strikes against Iran

US Central Command says it has launched strikes in Iran for an 11th consecutive night, with the aim of further degrading the Islamic Republic’s “ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.”

Over 500 American troops have been wounded in the Iran war, US official tells AP

The number of wounded US personnel in the Iran war has grown to well over 500 troops, a US official tells the Associated Press. The total is higher than the Pentagon’s official tally on the Defense Casualty Analysis System, which currently shows 482 wounded.

The US official, who isn’t authorized to discuss the matter with the media and speaks on condition of anonymity, says the system has a significant lag in reporting injuries. The official says that is a function of its design and not intentional.
