A Palestinian-owned vehicle and building were torched overnight south of Nablus in the West Bank, Palestinian media outlets reported Sunday morning, in what they described as the latest in a string of attacks by extremist settlers

There were no reports of injuries in the village of Usarin.

Footage from the scene showed a structure on fire and a partially burned car.

Local sources told the WAFA news agency that the building and car belonged to a Palestinian resident of the town.

Pictures also showed graffiti in Hebrew reading, “Revenge, 30 for Benayahu,” 30 days after settlement security officer Benayahu Mellet was killed during an armed clash between settlers and Palestinians in the nearby village of Tell.

Another graffiti message read: “Death to the enemy, freedom for the homeland,” a slogan used by the Lehi Jewish underground, which fought British rule in Mandatory Palestine in the 1940s.

Two teens arrested for attack on Palestinian amputee

Also on Sunday morning, Israel Police announced that officers overnight arrested two Israeli teenagers over an assault on a Palestinian amputee the day before in the South Hebron Hills, who has been the victim of several previous settler attacks.

Police said it arrested a 16-year-old settler filmed clubbing the Palestinian man in the hamlet of Khirbet al-Rakiz, in the Masafer Yatta area south of Hebron, and another 17-year-old Israeli who recorded the attack.

The 16-year-old, from the Hebron-area settlement of Avigayil, was kept in custody following an interrogation, and the 17-year-old, from Jerusalem, was released to house arrest, police said.

The 16-year-old was set to be brought before a judge later Sunday, police said, adding that the investigation is ongoing.

Officers also confiscated a Ranger ATV that the teenagers were driving, without a license, during the attack, police said.
