U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said there are no trade negotiations happening with Canada after they fell apart last month and tariffs from the Trump administration on Canadian goods went into effect.

“It’s more their emergency than ours,” Greer said, according to a Tuesday report from Politico, discussing trade tensions with Canada. 

“There are no negotiations happening on trade right now,” he added.
