Connecticut governor holds double-digit lead in reelection bid: Poll

Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont (D) has a double-digit lead over his Republican opponent Ryan Fazio in the race for the Constitution State’s top job, according to a new poll.

In the Emerson College Polling/The Hill survey, 51.4 percent of respondents said they would cast their ballot for Lamont if the election occurred that day or that they already had cast their ballot for him, while 37.8 percent said the same of Fazio. The poll also found 10.8 percent were unsure about their choice for governor.

Lamont’s nearly 14-point lead comes amid a favorable electoral environment for Democrats as the midterm elections inch closer.
