Bartender Miguel Marchese was fired from his job at Hazie’s in San Francisco after a viral incident.

In December, a video of a couple assaulting employees at Hayes Valley restaurant Hazie’s went viral, culminating in the woman being fired from her job at Strava. Now, Miguel Marchese, a bartender involved in the incident, has also lost his job, as first reported by Gazetteer San Francisco. Hazie’s is also now under investigation by the Office of Labor Standards Enforcement.

Marchese told SFGATE that when he met with one of the owners at the end of December, he was told that he was an insurance liability for tripping the customer, and was therefore being fired. He said that management gave him the option of signing a severance agreement, in which he would receive $5,000 in exchange for not suing the company or saying........
