Vigil for peace to be held at Norwich Cathedral
The event will be held at Norwich Cathedral on Sunday, March 15, beginning at 5pm.
It will focus on the ongoing unrest in the Middle East and other conflict zones around the world.
The hour-long gathering will include candle lighting, a period of silence and time for reflection.
The Very Revd Dr Andrew Braddock, Dean of Norwich, said: "War in the Middle East, in Ukraine and beyond is of profound concern.
"Norwich Cathedral stands in solidarity with all suffering at this time.
"The Cathedral’s Vigil for Peace offers a time of reflection, when we can come together to hold in our thoughts and prayers all victims of war and conflict, and the desire for peace."
The Universal Prayer for Peace will be said by the Dean of Norwich, and the public is invited to participate in lighting candles and observing a moment of silence in the cathedral nave.
The vigil will conclude at 6pm.
All are welcome to attend the gathering.
