Shane Percival, 30, of Lynford Drive, Eaton, was discovered by members of the public in Marston Marshes on November 5, 2025.

An inquest into his death, held at Norfolk Coroner's Court, heard he was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH), but died five days later.

Mr Percival, previously a lance corporal with the Royal Anglian Regiment, was jailed in May 2022 for the rape and sexual assault of a child under 13.
