Master Chef, which is known for its range of kebabs and pizzas, received a four-star food hygiene rating after a reinspection on May 31.

The new rating is a far cry from the shop's poor rating when Norwich City Council inspectors, visiting in March, found ill members of staff were still preparing food.

Homauon Afshar, owner of the shop for 25 years, said: "It's a great feeling to get our rating back up.

"However we now need to show the customers we lost that we're back on track........
