Turkish restaurant gets greenlight for renovation changes
The owner of Antep Kitchen on Dereham Road has been given the go-ahead to revamp the site's exterior.
Besnik Ademaj applied to Norwich City Council three months ago to turn a retractable roof into a fixed one with a parapet at 3.4m in height.
The extension will be enclosed by walls clad with millboard.
The walls were set to include decorative metal panels but under Mr Ademaj's recent revisions, there will now be vertical sliding glazing.
Mr Ademaj also plans to add external cladding to the front of the restaurant.
Planners for Norwich City Council said: "Overall, the height, form and materials of the proposed amendments are acceptable in terms of design and would not result in a significant increase in harm or impact to the character and appearance of the street scene."
According to the restaurant's website, it is currently closed while renovations get under way.
