Safety fears spark calls for rethink over switch off for thousands of street lights

Norfolk County Council has, over the past two years, agreed to turn off some 2,000 of its street lights to save about £200,000 a year and to cut carbon emissions.

But critics have said darker streets can lead to an increase in crime and make people feel less safe.
