Locals warn 100-year-old bridge will not cope with traffic from new 188-home estate

Ringland Parish Council say the crossing over the Wensum will struggle to manage with any more cars going over it.

It argues the village, home to around 220 people, is likely to be severely affected by the 1,530-home Marriott’s Park estate being built in Taverham.

The parish council has told Broadland District Council (BDC) officials: “The narrow roads and weak bridge in Ringland will not cope with any further traffic........
