Opposition chief ministers skip BRICS Summit dinner as six BJP CMs attend

Six chief ministers from BJP-ruled states attended the gala dinner at Bharat Mandapam, while the Congress questioned the summit’s outcomes and the New Delhi Declaration.

New Delhi: Chief ministers from Opposition-ruled states did not attend events linked to the two-day BRICS Summit in New Delhi, which concluded on Sunday. All chief ministers had received invitations for the occasion.

There was no official explanation for the Opposition leaders’ absence. However, sources from Telangana and Himachal Pradesh said Chief Ministers Revanth Reddy and Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had prior engagements.
