Last weekend I packed my bags and traveled over to Lucerne in Switzerland to attend the Whiskyschiff festival.

I have a soft spot for old towns in Europe, and Lucerne did not disappoint, with every corner more scenic than the last. The show was also great fun and I tried many whiskies that I had never encountered before.

If you are curious about visiting a whisky show abroad, I would definitely recommend combining it with a weekend away, especially in a stunning place like Lucerne.

The Whiskyschiff festival takes place across three connected boats that are docked right next to the train station. Each of the boats had various stands upstairs and downstairs, with the exception of the third boat, which had reserved the upstairs as a space for masterclasses.........
