A generation trapped in drugs is a generation pushed away from its goal; the most dangerous war is the one that destroys the youth from within. Is it a deliberate strategy to keep them away from conscious life? Such an allegation can be extremely surprising where uncertainty, violence and despair already exist, drugs find the easiest ground to spread-turning wounded society into even more fragile one.

Yet across many conflict-affected societies, including parts of Jammu & Kashmir, a powerful public perception continues to exist. People witness two realities unfolding side by side: repeated official claims of fighting the drug menace, and the visible rise of addiction among the youth. This contradiction has created deep anxiety, suspicion, and mistrust.
