National developer McCarthy and Stone was granted planning permission in July 2023 for a major retirement complex on the former Dairy Farm site on Saxons Way in Halesworth.

The 43 one and two-bedroom flats and 10 bungalows were expected to be built last year.

But work stopped on the building site in the summer of 2024, prompting questions about the development's future.
