The museum, which features a collection of archaeological, folklore, agricultural and social history exhibitions, will reveal new displays

Bungay Museum said: "Come along and see our new displays and try and solve the museum mysteries.

"We will be open on Thursdays and Saturdays between 10am and 1pm throughout the spring and summer months."

Founded in 1963 by Lilias Rider Haggard, daughter of writer Sir Henry Rider Haggard, the museum's collection was built with the help of former town clerk John Gibbs and Dr Hugh Cane, a GP and museum curator.

Today the independent museum remains dedicated to preserving and sharing the history, archaeology and natural environment and the wider Waveney Valley.

The museum is also looking for volunteers to help steward and is encouraging any locals interested in the town's heritage to get in touch with them.
