Glenn Miller, 53, was charged with the theft of £1,100 worth of meat from Upper Wood Farm Shop in Mautby last month.

Miller, of Marine Parade in Great Yarmouth, will now be sentenced on April 15 after his original sentencing was adjourned by magistrates at Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

He has been remanded in custody in Norwich Prison on other matters and will appear for his sentencing via video link.

In December, he targeted the shop when he filled a trolley full of meat produce before he fled without paying.

The theft dealt a "huge hit" to the farm shop, run by Erin Shreeve and her husband, just before Christmas.

After the theft, Mrs Shreeve said: "It is a huge hit for a small family shop, a small family business.

"It is not just the money. It is the work that has gone into it. It is two years' worth of work that has gone into it."
