Jet Adventures - which offers sightseeing trips and opportunities to see seals - has teamed up with the historic fishing trawler Mincarlo and The Fisherman’s Wharf pub to unveil a new visitor experience as it hosts Murder On Mincarlo.

A spokesman for Jet Adventures said: "We have introduced a three-part immersive murder mystery experience, created in partnership with two well-known local venues, the Mincarlo museum vessel and The Fisherman’s Wharf pub on South Pier."

With the chance to "explore historic vessels, sail to the ship’s graveyard, and unravel a murder mystery like no other," this unique detective-style adventure will see sleuths embark on a series of interactive puzzles and challenges by following a trail of clues across multiple locations.

Step aboard Mincarlo before sailing across Lake Lothing in the Jet Adventures boat that operates out of Lowestoft, called Shearwater - the high-speed jet-driven Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) - as the investigation unfolds around real wrecks.

Combining local history, coastal heritage and gripping storytelling, the spokesman said the experience unfolds across three stages.

Starting aboard the historic Mincarlo to search for clues, examine evidence and solve puzzles, guests will then travel by boat along Lake Lothing to the 'ship's graveyard'.

The spokesman said that the victim’s final journey will be retraced "while uncovering further clues among the wrecks and listening to recorded interviews connected to the case".

The investigation concludes at The Fisherman’s Wharf, where evidence and theories are discussed and debated as they look to solve the murderer "before the final reveal," with food and drink available.

The spokesman added: "As a local business ourselves, a key part of the project has been partnership working with local organisations, particularly The Mincarlo and The Fisherman’s Wharf, helping to create a collaborative experience that showcases some of Lowestoft’s unique attractions while offering visitors something different to do in the town."
