Driver caught doing 81mph in 50 zone

The Norfolk and Suffolk safety camera and central ticket office - which enforces traffic laws, primarily speeding, in both counties - highlighted some "high speed offences" that have taken place across both counties since the start of the year.

They said three people were caught speeding in the east Suffolk area and warned they will be "dealt with in court."

In posts on its Facebook page they said three speeders were "travelling at excessive speeds and will be dealt with in court."

With the incidents having taken place since January 1, they said a motorist was captured doing 71mph in a 40mph zone in Blythburgh, west of Southwold and south of Lowestoft

Another speeder was caught doing 81mph in the village of Wangford, on a 50mph limit road.

A third motorist was caught travelling at excessive speed, after being captured doing 53mph in a 30mph zone in Bungay.
