Stern opposition mounts against 550-home development on town outskirts
Around 150 objections have been lodged against plans for the 550 homes on the edge of Cromer, despite revised development proposals.
The scheme, submitted by Innova Consulting Group, would build homes on agricultural land west of Pine Tree Farm, between Norwich Road, Roughton Road and the railway line.
It would also include 192 affordable homes as part of the 550-home bid, a 100-bed care facility, sports pitches for the town’s football club and new allotments.
The development could increase the area's population by more than 1,600 people.

The application was submitted on March 3, 2025 and further information and revised documents were submitted in early December and then again in July 2026.
Recent changes include revised footways, crossings and roundabouts.
A proposed footway has been widened to 1.8 metres, although earlier plans showed a width of 2.5 metres.
